over-engineering

YAGNI checks for Claude Code and Codex: reconsider dependencies, file growth and unnecessary code before adding more.

A "simple" bash script (created to learn a bit more bash scripting) that configures ssh port forwarding to access a remote host

A deliberately over-engineered Python parody of enterprise software: singletons, DI container and four probes that check whether a script ran before it ran. The answer is always False.

This is a tiny HTTP server that redirects all requests permanently to another server.

Frontier-simplify: skills built for Fable and Astra (gpt-6-astra). Cut invented process and bound repeated code reviews.

Local-first AI research lab blueprint — clone, pick a tier (Minimalist / Maximus), and run experiments. Ships ai-eng (3B Opus-4.7-derived) by default. Airgapped by default, cloud-capable by choice.

Two Claude Code skills that catch over-engineering in specs/architecture and in code before you ship — an automatic simplicity pass with a forced KEEP/SIMPLIFY/REMOVE/DEFER decision.

Deterministic check for over-engineering in a diff. No model, no network, no dependencies. Also installs construction rules for coding agents.

Opportunity catalogs for over-engineering anything — exhaustively, affectionately, and honestly.

[ADOPT] Makes the agent think like the laziest senior dev in the room. The best code is the code you never wrote.

The graveyard for code-snippets that abandoned from my projects due to the over-engineering.

A deadass bouncing dot simulator and menu playground in Rust & Macroquad, backed by multi-threaded Rayon physics, Clap CLI flags, and far more engineering discipline than it deserves. Calling it a game is a massive stretch, but your CPU cores will gladly burn compute bouncing circles off four walls with peak multi-core efficiency.

An over-engineering mockup needed for a showcase.

Void, but enterprise

Hermes Agent skill: review one diff for broken, missing and over-built code. Ponytail's cut-the-bloat lens with a correctness pass in front, invoked on demand instead of always-on.

Make your agent like an intern — over-engineering, verbose comments, unnecessary dependencies, and silent failures

An attempt to learn Redux

Production-grade, cloud-native, enterprise teapot infrastructure. RFC 2324 compliant. Zero business value. DEV April Fools 2026.
