oauthlib 4.0.0 moved client authentication for the password grant out of create_token_response() and into validate_token_request(), after the required-parameter checks. A request with only grant_type now fails with 400 invalid_request (missing username) instead of 401 invalid_client. Update the existing test to expect the 400, and add a test that supplies username and password without client credentials so the 401 invalid_client path stays covered. oauthlib/oauthlib@v3.3.1...v4.0.0 Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
