Please add a third shading-Mode for watching TV. Should be activated by GA or szene. Should provide a "might get darker, not lighter".

Thanks for the suggestion! Our view: this isn't really a third shading mode. Shading modes 1 and 2 are driven by measurements (sun position, brightness, temperature, …). A cinema mode is triggered by the user, which is basically scenes. Scenes are already on our long-term to-do list, so we'd like to cover your request as part of that feature rather than as a separate mode.

"Get darker, but never lighter" goes beyond a plain scene, though. A scene only moves to a position once, and afterwards the automatics (e.g. end of shading with "move up") could open the shutter again. We'll take that into account when designing scenes. To get it right, a few questions:

• Priority: Should cinema mode override night mode and shading? And what about manual operation: should it end cinema mode, or be limited to "close only" as well? (Window open / lock-out prevention would stay on top in any case.)
• Scope of "darker only": Only the shutter position, or also the slat angle (e.g. slats may close further but not open)?
• Ending: How should the mode end? Only via GA/scene, via a timeout, or automatically at night start? And afterwards: go back to the position before activation, or just hand control back to the automatics?
• Scene trigger: Should a scene number activate a stored position (like classic actuator scenes), or just switch the mode on and off?

Workaround until then: Recall a scene directly in the shutter actuator and set the channel lock (Sperre) of the ShutterController at the same time. The automatics then can't move the shutter until you release the lock.

the "get darker, not lighter" is what brought me to think about a new shading mode, as that feature has to do with night mode, which, at least in my case, is darker than daylight shading or cinema mode.
I have another shading need for the same glass door: Our dog, when left alone, tends to lay before this glass dor and bark at the outside world. A "dog home alone" scene would involve closing the shutter for this door.

Both modes do not fit right into the exisiting manual mode, as the automatic cooldown does not work for these situations.
As the two exisiting shading modes are really fine, that is what brought me to the idea of more shading modes, that can be triggered by KO or scene. The dog one can b e solved as you suggested, with a scene in the shutter actuator and a look, but the cinema one feels more natural fitted in the hierarchy of the existing modes below night mode, which is the get only darker situation.

As to your design questions:

• Priority should override shading but not night mode (as night mode is the use case for only darker, at least for me). Manual operation should interrupt cinema mode and get back to the mode as specified for manual mode. Another way to see it: the which basically comes down to a mode where automation only renders "only darker, not lighter" and it doesn't work out with the manual mode as the cool down timer does not work.
• I don't have slats, so I am not the ideal person to answer this, but I would say yes: only close further.
• End via GA/scene and hand back to automation. Timeout is exactly what does not fit for this mode (and the dog alone mode)
• Undecided. I think setting a shutter position in ShutterControl would fit nicely into the other setting, although just switching the mode on and off would certainly technically do. But I am a fan of doing as much as possible in one place…
