After reboots, the order that monitors are presented in the menu bar menu sometimes changes, meaning you can't rely on muscle memory/memory to make quick adjustments - you have to read/parse the menu to see which slider is which.
Probably affects those of us with several monitors most of all (I have 4 attached, some shared with other machines, so macOS may enumerate them in a different order sometimes on boot)
An option to present the monitors by name alphabetically would fix it and make things consistent.
