I've been writing open source since 2011. It's how I learn and how I practice engineering for real, not a side hobby.
My day job is CTO at Buser (accountable for tech/data, product, marketing, sales and customer success), so open source happens in the hours I carve out around it. Sponsorship buys back that time: reviewing PRs, triaging issues, keeping dependencies fresh and shipping releases on projects that thousands of developers depend on.
If something I build saves you time, sponsoring is the most direct way to keep it moving.
What I'm building right now π¨βπ»
- outl - local-first outliner in Rust. Markdown is the source of truth, and sync doesn't corrupt your tree when two devices edit offline (tree CRDT + P2P over iroh). Clients for macOS, iOS, Android and the terminal, plus an MCP server so your agents can read and write your notes
- zer0 - an open source browser that doesn't use "open source" as an excuse for a bad interface. WebKit engine, Rust core, native shell
- mcp - CLI that turns MCP servers into terminal commands. Single binary, lazy init, idle shutdown
- dotagent - polyglot agent orchestrator. Write your agent in any language, it handles scheduling, heartbeats, retries, timeouts and health
- jbundle - package JVM apps (Clojure, Java) into self-contained binaries, no JVM required to run
What I maintain
- Awesome Go - the curated list of Go frameworks, libraries and software (184k+ stars). Most of the work is invisible: reviewing submissions, checking quality criteria, pruning dead projects
- prestd - PostgreSQL + REST. Instant, high-performance API on any Postgres database, existing or new
- ChronDB - chronological key/value database built on Git, with full version history
- roam-tui - Roam Research client for the terminal, CLI and Rust SDK
Small tools I use every day
- airtraffic - automatic URL routing for Firefox containers and Chrome tab groups
- calblend - merges overlapping Google Calendar events from multiple calendars into one readable block
- outl-plugin-ouraring - syncs Oura Ring health metrics into outl daily pages
Projects I've contributed to
Go, Django, babashka/nbb, graalvm-clojure, confluent/ksql, RxGo, Bottle, Vim Bootstrap, Awesome Racket and more.
Let's talk
